Day 01: Delhi - Leh
On arrival at Leh airport, you will be met by our representative at the airport
and transfer to Hotel. Complete day for the acclimitization which is 3500 Mtrs
above sea level. In the evening short work around the Leh bazar Overnight at
Hotel.
Day 02: Leh - Monasteries 90 Kms.
Full day excursion to Ladakh famous monasteries, it is interesting to visit
early in the morning to enjoy the praying Cermony at Thiksey monastery. Continue
drive to Hemis monastery which is one of the most famous monastery of the Ladakh
region.. On the way back visit to Shey Palace. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 03: Leh - Monasteries 40 Kms.
Morning half day tour of Spituk and visit Phyang Monastery. Afternoon visit
by foot to Kings Palace, Leh Mosque, Leh Gompa, Shankar Gompa and Leh Bazar.
Overnight at Hotel.
Day 04: Leh - Nubra valley
Drive passing through Gangles villages the road then rises to reach Khardongla
pass (5600 Mtrs) the world's highest motor able road. The road then passes through
a bridge laid on Glacier which finds its way in Guiness Book of world records.
In the afternoon visit Diskit monastery which is 515 years old situated on a
hill top giving panoramic view of the valley and evening walk around the town
of Diskit. Overnight at Camping.
Day 05: Nubra valley - Local sightseeing
Morning half day visit to Panamic hot sulpher spring and on the way back visit
Samstaling and sumur monastery. Return back to the Hotel. Afternoon half day
tour of Hunder and Sumur to enjoy the view on the sand dunes. Overnight at Camping.
Day 06: Nubra - Leh
Leave the place in the morning and continue drive to Leh via Khardongla pass.
Check in at Hotel. Afternoon free for personal activities.Overnight at Hotel
Day 07: Leh - Alchi 72 Kms.
Leave for Alchi monastery known as Alchi Choskor is the only monastery in the
Ladakh on flat ground. On the way visit Bazgo Castle lie on the right bank of
the Indus. By the lunch time we reach Alchi. Afternoon visit the Alchi monastery
and explore the nature beauty of Alchi village. Overnight at Hotel/Guest House.
Day 08: Alchi - Lamayuru - Leh 168 Kms.
Leave Alchi and continue drive to Lamayuru via Khaltsi (passport checking point).
From here another 22 kms drive will take us to Lamayuru. The oldest and spectacularly
set Lamayuru monastery founded in the 10th Century. Visit the monastery. In
the late afternoon drive back to Leh which is 4/5 hours drive. Overnight at
Hotel
Day 09: Leh - Delhi
Transfer in time to the airport to connect onward destination flight.
