Corbett Gateway – Himalayan Foothill Tiger Escape

ITINERARY

• 01 Delhi – Corbett National Park
  • Overview

  Depart from Delhi in the morning for a scenic drive (approximately 5–6 hours) to Corbett National Park, passing through the plains and gradually approaching the forested Himalayan foothills.
  
  On arrival, check in at your wildlife lodge and take time to settle into the natural surroundings.
  
  In the afternoon, proceed for your first jungle excursion into the park or its buffer zones. Corbett’s varied terrain of riverine belts, sal forests, and grasslands supports a wide range of wildlife.
  
  Possible sightings include:

  • Royal Bengal Tiger
  • Asian Elephant
  • Leopard
  • Gharial and marsh crocodile
  • Rich birdlife including hornbills, kingfishers, and raptors

  Return to the Jungle lodge by evening.
  
  Meals and overnight at the lodge.

• 02 Corbett – Forest & River Ecosystems
  • Overview

  Morning and afternoon safaris in different zones of Corbett National Park, each offering distinct habitat characteristics.
  With your specialist naturalist, focus on:

  • Tracking tiger movement through indirect signs
  • Observing elephant herds along riverbeds
  • Birding along the Ramganga river system
  • Understanding the interplay between forest, grassland, and riverine ecosystems

  
  Corbett is particularly known for its bird diversity, making it equally rewarding for wildlife and birding enthusiasts.
  
  Meals and overnight at the lodge.

• 03 Corbett – Delhi
  • Overview

  Early morning jungle excursion — often the most productive time for wildlife activity.
  
  Return to the lodge for breakfast.
  
  Later, drive back to Delhi. On arrival, the tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel or airport for onward journey.
