TADOBA
About Tadoba National Park

Tadoba in Maharashtra combines rugged hills, bamboo thickets, and perennial water bodies with teak forests and grassy meadows. Tadoba Lake is the lifeline of the park, supporting waterbirds and crocodiles, while the surrounding forests are renowned for their high density of tigers. Sloth bears, leopards, wild dogs, and herds of gaur also thrive here. The mix of bamboo and teak vegetation, along with rocky terrain, creates striking biodiversity and thrilling opportunities for wildlife photography.

Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve is famous for frequent and dramatic sightings of the Royal Bengal Tiger. Leopards, sloth bears, wild dogs, striped hyenas, and jungle cats are also present. Herbivores include sambar, chital, nilgai, and gaur. The park is also home to marsh crocodiles and a healthy diversity of reptiles. Birdwatchers can enjoy over 195 species, including crested serpent eagles, paradise flycatchers, peafowl, painted storks, and honey buzzards. Tadoba’s bamboo forests and lakes provide a rich habitat that ensures high chances of big cat encounters.
